Depictions of three ocean energy test sites, located in state waters. These sites were identified pursuant to P.L. 270 of the 124th Maine Legislature, charging the Maine State Planning Office and the Maine Department of Conservation to site up to five ocean energy demonstration sites in Maine state waters. Data are current as of December 14, 2010., The purpose of this dataset is to depict locations that have been selected for testing ocean energy development., Data were provided by the Maine Coastal Program. No limitations or caveats were provided regarding the use of this data., This layer is presented in the WGS84 coordinate system for web display purposes. Downloadable data are provided in native coordinate system or projection.
