Abstract
This point dataset represents trees on the Cornell University main campus in Ithaca, New York as of 2012.

Data Quality Information
Logical Consistency Report
All point data are represented by coordinate pairs.
Completeness Report
The tree inventory covers the main area of the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, New York. It omits natural areas, areas maintained by the City of Ithaca, and the Cornell Plantations' Botanical Garden and Arboretum.
Horizontal Positional Accuracy Report
Most locations were collected with a consumer-grade GPS unit (3-5m accuracy), and rectified to 2007 orthoimagery (4ft accuracy). In isolated GPS "dead zones", locations were sketched on a map and later rectified to orthoimagery. All final tree locations are estimated to be at least within 3m accuracy.
