Abstract
This point dataset represents street trees in the Village of Cayuga Heights, Tompkins County, New York.
Purpose
The dataset provides an inventory of trees along the public streets of Cayuga Heights. This inventory can be used to support studies of species diversity, tree size and health, risks of invasive pests, and carbon sequestration.

All point data are represented by coordinate pairs.
Completeness Report
All streets were inventoried excluding streets such as Strawberry Lane and Parkway Place which are considered private. A portion of Jessup Road on the Cornell University campus is within village boundaries and was not inventoried, but information on these trees can be obtained from the Cornell University Campus Tree Inventory. Planting sites were not inventoried.
Horizontal Positional Accuracy Report
Most locations were collected with a consumer-grade GPS unit (3-5m accuracy), and rectified to 2007 orthoimagery (4ft accuracy). All final tree locations are estimated to be at least within 3m accuracy.
