This point data layer represents ports in Wisconsin and two miles into Iowa, Michigan, and Minnesota in 1996. The dataset was originally published by the Wisconsin Department of Administration in 1996.\[This data layer is a point shapefile of water ports within the state of Wisconsin as of 1997. Original data from the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) ports database. This is an extract from the National Waterway Network database. It is referenced to the Wisconsin Transverse Mercator (WTM) projection system, North American Datum 1983, with the 1991 adjustment (NAD83/91).][This data layer is a point shapefile of water ports within two miles from the state of Wisconsin as of 1997. Purpose
This layer is intended for reference and mapping purposes and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [This data layer is for use in generalized mapping applications. The level of accuracy does not support detailed local analysis. The data layer is intended for use with GIS software.]
