Abstract
This polygon data layer represents Land Use for Dane County, Wisconsin in 1996. The dataset was originally published by the Dane County and Information Office in 1996 as Coverage files for each township. AGSL Staff merged the township data into a single countywide shapefile for ease of use. See the DATADOC.txt document for attribute codes.
Purpose
This layer is intended for reference and mapping purposes and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data.
