Abstract
This line data layer represents hydrography for Waukesha County, Wisconsin in 2014. It is a feature class within the geodatabase, Waukesha_HydroLine_2014.gdb. [The planimetric mapping product covers the entire county and was compiled at a scale of 1" = 100'. The accuracy standard used is National Map Accuracy for 1" = 100' scale mapping. The planimetric files are non-overlapping, 2-D Microstation .dgn files and are tiled by survey township.]
Purpose
This layer is intended for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [The planimetric maps are intended to be used as one of the base layers for overlaying with other digital layers such as cadastral features, topography and orthophotos.]
Supplemental Information
This metadata was updated to reflect that the data is no longer restricted and has been opened for public use. [The planimetric features consist of four core features. These features are pavement edges (improved and unimproved), road centerlines, water, and railroads. These features were extracted from the DTM product that was compiled as part of the Year 2000 Orthophotography project.]
