Abstract
This polygon data layer represents hydrography for Manitowoc County, Wisconsin in 2016. It is a feature class within the geodatabase, Manitowoc_HydroPoly_2016.gdb.[Lakes, ponds, and other open water features at least five acres in size. Features were delineated using Manitowoc County's 2010 digital orthophotograph.]
Purpose
This layer is intended for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [The lakes feature class was created primarily for cartographic use by Manitowoc County. They are not intended for legal or regulatory uses.]

They were updated by Ayres Associates as part of a 2005 digital orthophotography project and by the Manitowoc CountyGIS Office after a 2010 digital orthophotography project. The dataset was converted from an Esri shapefile to a file geodatabase in 2011.]
