Abstract
This data layer represents public land survey system (PLSS) corners for Clark County, Wisconsin in 2020.[This dataset contains local PLSS locations and attributes collected by the county surveyor or another authorized entity using GPS and conventional surveying methodologies. These points are in The Clark County Coordinate System and have a county-wide extent. The County Surveyor serves as custodian for this data, and updates them as needed.]
Purpose
This layer is intended for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data.[These PLSS points are part of a User Densified Network(UDN) related to the WI HARN and are intended to be used as a spatial reference system for surveying and mapping activities in the county. These data are accessible from the Wisconsin State Cartographer's Office via PLSSFinder, an internet application that facilitates quick position and attribute identification of PLSS points in the State of Wisconsin]
