Title
Heat and Cold Exposure, CTA Rail Lines [CMAP (Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning) Data Hub]
Description
As part of the; Risk-based Vulnerability Assessment; , CMAP calculated the total risk score for each asset based on exposure and criticality using the equation below:; Risk Score = (Exposure Score)(60%) + (Criticality Score)(40%); In this analysis, risk is defined as the weighted combination of asset exposure and criticality. Assets with high exposure and criticality are considered highly vulnerable to climate hazards. Exposure is weighted higher than criticality because it is the main driver of climate-related impacts. Additionally, the exposure indicators used in the analysis are adjusted to consider future climate conditions, while the criticality indicators are based solely on historical data.; These vulnerability assessments are part of the data analysis meant to inform theTransportation Resilience Improvement Plan.; Explore TRIP asset and transit rider vulnerability data through our; interactive web map; .
