Abstract
This data layer represents roads for Clark County, Wisconsin in 2015. It is a feature class within the geodatabase, Clark_Roads_2015.gdb.[This is the Roads Centerline coverage derived from the 1997 air photos. It is the public road centerline layer but also contains private driveways that are longer in length. Road classes are identified for each centerline-only primary forest roads are included in this layer. Additional forest roads are maintained in a separate layer maintained by the Forestry Department.. The data is updated when mistakes are found or when information is provided by the owning entity.]
Purpose
This layer is intended for students, faculty, and staff of the University of Wisconsin System for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. [This data layer represents the road centerlines and contains some attribute information regarding the road. The centerlines are used for many purposes, including the platbook and road atlas, and utilized within many departments. Due to the multi-departmental needs, the data has unique tabular and spatial information/entities.]
