Abstract
This data represents roads and Right Of Ways (ROW) for Waupaca County, Wisconsin in 2019.For Roads: [This data represents the Waupaca County transportation network. A single line is used to represent the center of a road. All roads are geocoded with a address range.]For ROW: [The road right-of-way(ROW) layer for Waupaca County includes county, state, and U.S. highways, town roads, city streets and alleys. The Road ROW layer is available in a county-wide or individual layer for each township, city, or village. The road ROW polygons were derived from various sources. These sources include, but are not limited to, deeds, surveys, subdivision plats, highway plats, Town records, and State records.]
Purpose
This data is for reference and mapping purposes, and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data. For Roads: [These files are maintained primarily for use as base data for digital mapping, county addressing activities, and right of way designations. In 2006 the Sheriff's Department began using road centerline data as there base information layer for Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System. The CAD system has a mapping component that can geocode addresses based on road centerline range data. The mapping componet of the CAD system can now display locations of E911 cellular calls.] For ROW: [This information is intended to be used primarily for the base layer for overlaying all of the digital layers that were digitized in the parcel conversion efforts of Waupaca County. The primary use of the digital road layer is to assist the Waupaca County Property Listing Office in their daily activities.]
