Description
[There were two methods used to digitize the cadastral features in Waukesha County. Most of the eastern half of the county was completed by board digitizing section-based 1""=100' scale mylars. These mylars were constructed using USPLSS monuments and section lines, as well as various planimetric features, (pavement, structures and water features) as a base. Each section was then manually drafted using Subdivision Plats, Certified Survey Maps, Condominium Plats, Deeds of Record, and the County Tax Roll. The mylars were then registered and board digitized. COGO entry using distance and bearing was used for most of the western half of the county. Both methods were quality controlled by generating a series of seven color check plots. The features were checked for positional accuracy, as well as for adherence to the County's level/layering specification. (See ""Waukesha County Digital Cadastral Specifications"")]
